Item Description
Here is something that truly isn't as common as one might think. Apatite gems are known from dozens of worldwide localities in virtually every color of the rainbow. Cat's Eye Apatite gems are not seen very often from any locality, but can be as fine as virtuall any other Cat's Eye gems out there. Cat's Eye stones are created by orienting the stone perpendicular to the tiny fibrous inclusions inside which in turn reflect the light causing an "eye" to appear. This gem is a pale peach-yellow color "Oval Cabochon" gem with a distinct, and relatively sharp, fine quality "eye" running the length of the stone. The stone was photographed using a strong pen light to show off the "eye" better. Valued at $136.80.
