Item Description

Sprays and clusters of gemmy emerald-green and lustrous dark green antlerite blades richly and attractively cover both sides of the blocky porphyry matrix. Antlerite is an uncommon hydroxyl Cu-sulfate with some of the world's finest specimens coming from this famous open pit copper mine, the largest in the world. Older material, probably circa 1900-1930. Two-sided specimens of this size, richness and quality are seldom available today. Ex R.D. Mushlitz Collection.
