Item Description
A very rich and hard-to-find classic specimen of the famous chrome-bearing antigorite from the classic Wood's Chrome Mine in Pennsylvania. The solid vein of antigorite features purplish-gray colored, foliated, fibrous masses with nice chatoyancy. This piece definitely dates to the 1800s. From the old East Coast collection of Clifford Joesph. His label states, that this is chromium chlinochlore (kammererite), but it is not. A very interesting, rich and historic specimen of this hard-to-find material.
