Annabergite with Smithsonite

Item Description

A beautiful and classic miniature sized specimen featuring micro intense electric green crystals of the well-known Nickel Arsenate, Annabergite. The crystals show the classic "sword"-shaped monoclinic habit, and are arranged into small "fan"-like "sprays". Under magnification, one can see some very attractive groups, and we photographed them with a Canon MP-E 65mm macro lens to better illustrate their quality. Addtionally, yellow "balls" of Smithsonite can be seen in the center of the piece. From an old East Coast collection we acquired, and a true classic from one of the most famous mineral localities in the world!
