Cabrerite is an old obsolete synonym for rare magnesian annabergite, the Mg-rich annabergite varietal. Vivid neon-green bladed sprays of gemmy annabergite crystals fill a quartz-lined sculptural, 3.5 cm, vug along with nifty contrasting clusters of botryoidal goethite on this very colorful and excellent specimen from the ancient mines at Lavrion. This is a classic and rare species from this famous district. Older material, that was formerly on display in a museum collection.
