Item Description
Here we have a beautiful and classic specimen featuring intense electric green crystals of the well-known nickel arsenate, Annabergite from the famed Km 3 Open Pit from Lavrion, Greece. Upon close inspection you can see the crystals show the classic "sword"-shaped monoclinic habit, and are arranged into small radiating aggregates. The piece is best seen under magnification, and we've photographed the piece with a Canon MP-E 65 mm macro lens to better illustrate the quality. You can see there are some lighter green colored groups which could be magnesium-bearing Annabergite. A true classic from one of the most famous mineral districts in the world.
