Item Description

A classic and fine quality example of the famous, well-crystallized Annabergite specimens from the Km 3 Open Pit in Lavrion, Greece. This miniature sized piece hosts beautiful, electric green color, radial sprays of this hydrated nickel arsenate, measuring a few mm across, composed of thin, monoclinic blades, sitting on matrix. The Annabergite crystals are best seen with magnification, and look beautiful up close. For reference, Annabergite is the nickel analogue of Erythrite, and the nickel content is what gives the species that vivid green color. A lovely example of this alluring and excellent material.
