Item Description

Ankerite and smoky quartz combination specimens are very rare from Chester County. The glassy, color-zoned, smoky quartz points are nearly covered by the undulating carpet of sharp, pearlescent, grayish-white, ankerite rhombs. This is old-time, very showy and excellent combination material from this historic mining county, which includes Phoenixville and French Creek. Nearly pristine, a trivial bit of termination edgewear to the smokies is noted. Rare, old combination material from the Howard Belsky Collection and comes with a supremely scribed older label on the back.
