Item Description

A rarely seen specimen of the elusive Anhydrites from the world-famous Sunnyside Mine in Colorado. This piece hosts dozens white/cream colored botryoidal aggregates of Anhydrite which are associated with accenting pink Rhodochrosite plus Sphalerite and Pyrite. Amazingly, the Anhydrite was not dissolved away like the majority of the Anhydrite from this mine. One of the very few piecs of this material that I have handled, and exceptionally rare on the market. This particular piece was mined circa 1960s and later became part of Brian Kosnar's collection. A great representative specimen of Anhydrite with most unusual form!
