Item Description
The Braen's Quarry in New Jersey has been seldom collected quarry for a while, but has been a source of excellent Zeolite specimens and associated species in small quantities. This piece features no Zeolites, but features lovely, translucent, beautiful blue color Anhydrite on matrix. The piece is not damage free, and is more of a reference specimen, but one hardly sees any crystallized Anhydrite from the New Jersey trap rocks, as most of it was either dissolved away or turned into "casts" or epimorphs after other minerals. Certainly different that most Anhydrites I've seen from other parts of the world, and would make a nice addition to a reference collection of New Jersey minerals.
