Item Description
A newly mined specimen of VERY fine quality Anhydrite from the Kohnstein Quarry. The crystal is WATER-CLEAR and has a notable purple color, which is rarely seen in Anhydrite. The material from the Simplon Tunnel in Switzerland is notably more pink that this material which has a true purple color. Along with the clarity and color, the piece actually does have some well-formed crystal faces, but a few cleaves here and there. The fact that it's transparent Anhydrite with a discernable internal color makes it's better in my mind that most Anhydrites on the market.
