Item Description
An incredibly hard to find display specimen of lovely light pinkish-orange colroed Anhydrite featuring prismatic, translucent, well-formed crystal on virtually every side. Very little matrix, and the piece is almost solid Anhydrite. The color is so alluring and this is the ONLY piece I've ever had to offer from Luneburg. I can't begin to think of the value of the only example of a colorful Anhydrite from this obscure old German locality. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#4549). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Velt" November-December 2017).
