Item Description
Anhydrite is not often seen in fine crystallized examples around thew orld, but the famed Naica locality is well-known to have produced some outstanding Anhydrite specimens, and this is an excellent example of this classic and distinctive material. This piece is complete all around showing the classic "stepped" prismatic form with the easily recognizable soft blue color for which the material is known. The main group is composed of parallel-growth, translucent blades, with a second smalle "sidecar" group on the lower portion. No major damage I can see, and this is simply slassic, highly representative material for the species and famed locale. Valued $1,500.
Ex Brian Kosnar collection.
