Naica is known to have produced some outstanding anhydrite specimens and this is an excellent example. This is a complete-all-around and nearly pristine fan of parallel-growth, translucent blades with pretty light, ice-blue color. The secondary overgrowth on smaller anhydrite crystals is a nice accent. A bit of trivial edgewear along the crest is barely noticeable and is certainly not a detraction. Classic, highly representative material for the species and famed locale. This fine piece looks great from both sides and has excellent form. Ex Consie Prince Collection.
