Anglesite with Azurite and Cerussite (rare combination)

Large, yellow Anglesite crystals are prominently displayed at the top of this cabinet specimen with lustrous, big, blue Azurites on the bottom half that are sprinkled with little Cerussite snowflakes. Tsumeb is known for combinations, but this is a rare and triple combo we had not seen before, and anglesite itself is super rare from the mine! The Anglesite cluster at the top is made up of over a dozen, lustrous, translucent, bladed crystals with a pleasing light yellow color. The big Anglesite in the middle of the grouping measures two inches across! While mostly complete, it is not quite pristine - although it is close and given the size and age, acceptably good condition. This is an old piece, thought to have come from the middle era of mining here, perhaps 1960s-1970s. The elongated cluster of Azurite crystals constitutes a dozen super lustrous, midnight blue crystals from 1 to 3.5 cm in maximum dimension - and most of them are terminated. Faces of many of the Azurite crystals are embellished with nearly snow-white, very three-dimensional, 3 to 7 mm, reticulated Cerussite crystals that present the ultimate contrast in color and texture relative to the Azurite. A colorful and interesting Tsumeb combination specimen! Valued $6000-7500.
