Item Description
Classic, sculptural pseudomorph replacement/encrustation specimen from the renowned Broken Hill deposit. An old specimen and from classic finds of the early 1900s. Sparkly microcrystalline Anglesite has replaced or encrusted a striking, dense cluster of reticulated Cerussite blades. The blades are up to about 4.0 cm long. The few scattered bruised blades reveal the underlying, very glassy, gray Cerussite. 503 grams or 1.1 pounds mass. See the well-respected 1982 coffee table monograph: Minerals of Broken Hill. Ex Bob Reynolds Collection, a well-known fossil and mineral expert and former Curator of the San Bernardino County Museum. He amassed a significant mineral collection. He passed away in 2020. This sculptural classic has multiple display views. Valued at $1000.
