Old-time, desirable, sculptural combination classic from the renowned Broken Hill deposit of Australia, this is a rare and special treasure from the famous mine! These were found long ago, perhaps in the 1960s if memory serves; and few collections maintain an example today. Sparkly, tiny Anglesite crystals completely coat a dramatically artistic small cabinet cluster of reticulated Cerussite crystals. The striking, stout, dominating blade is 7.8 cm tall and 3.8 cm wide. The prominent secondary crystal is 4.0 cm long. The jumble of smaller reticulated crystals at the base is a fine complement. Complete all-around, nearly pristine and in great shape, overall. Contacting to the tips of the two large blades against the vug walls reveals the underlying, very glassy, adamantine luster cerussite. Ex Kurt Hefendehl Collection, a well-known German collector who amassed a world-wide collection of over 6000 pieces. A classic, very shapely old-time anglesite coating reticulated cerussite from the famed locale. We note that this was from the Ed David collection previously: Ed was President Nixon's science advisor and had a phenomenal collection of worldwide classics, sold (twice, actually) in 1993; and then another collection in 2005 (to us).
