Item Description

A very showy, 1.3 cm cluster of two, intergrown, sharp, glassy, gemmy, well-striated, anglesite crystals is attractively set in a vug lined with numerous anglesite microcrystals on scintillating microcrystalline galena on this classic, old-time specimen from the famous Monteponi Mine of Sardinia. Trivial bruising is noted to the crystals, but is only a modest detraction to this old-timer. Highly representative material from this historic locale from the Robert Whitmore Collection. Valued at $100-150 as an old historic classic.
