When it comes to the finest crystals of Anglesite in the world, the premier locality is Touissit in Morocco. Even when you compare the best Anglesites from localities like Tsumeb, they still are not good enough to what Touissit has produced. This showy and three-dimensional specimen features a predominant, vivid yellow colored, translucent, orthorhombic crystal of Anglesite measuring 3.8 cm aesthetically flaring off of the contrasting silvery-grey Galena matrix. The crystal is complete all the way around, and there is no major damage, but I can see a tiny pin prick imperfection near the termination, which is almost impossible to see without a loupe or some kind of magnification. With some backlighting, the upper portion of the crystal shows good internal gemminess. It's nearly impossible to find such well-formed, attractive crystals of Anglesite in this size range from Touissit anymore these days, and you just don't see anything this good from any other world locality. This piece was originally priced at $3,500 in the inventory making this a tremendous opportunity to pick up a fine specimen of this iconic material for a great bargain.
