Anglesite on Galena

Cluster of gemmy, yellow Anglesites from Touissit, where arguably the best Anglesites in the world have been produced. These crystals, up to 1.2 cm, are glassy and well-terminated, with only the tiniest bit of wear. The cluster itself is dense, with some crystal laying against the matrix and the upright crystals adjacent to each other. This geometry does not allow the Anglesites to be appreciated fully for the individual quality that they do possess. Nevertheless, a good, gemmy Touissit Anglesite, be it a single crystal or cluster, remains a nice find. This is from the classic finds of the 1960s as her catalog number dates it before later finds in the 1980s.
