Anglesite (good sized crystal - classic material)

Anglesite is an uncommon lead sulfate species, found in many secondary lead deposits around the world, but it is at its best from Touissit. When compared to localities like Tsumeb or the Monteponi Mine in Italy, I think most people would agree that the finest examples ever seen have been found at Touissit. This is a very impressive Anglesite as it's not only good sized for the species and the locality, but it has glistening, well-formed, sharp crystals faces on all sides, with an enchanting light smoky to white hue and even a bit of gemminess near the termination. There are secondary smaller crystals overgrowing the predominant Anglesite at the top, and even some translucent crystals on the back, which are sitting on matte grey Galena. The classic prismatic tabular habit is iconic from the locality. The piece is in very good shape, but there are a few minor nicks on the main crystal, along with a few points of contacts on the lower portion, so it's not 100% pristine, but still quite impressive for what it is. Very good quality all around and so showy. If you collect secondary ore minerals, or specimens from Morocco / Touissit, this would make a great addition to any collection.
