A glassy and gemmy, colorless crystal of anglesite, with thick and robust form. This specimen is multi sided and can be displayed from the front or back. In very good shape with only minor peripheral damage on one edge, it is a significant locality anglesite, and well balanced in the size range. You almost never see such a fine Tsumeb anglesite! This is old, rare, and aesthetic at the same time. From the Brent Lockhart collection, purchased from the legendary Tsumeb dealers Miriam and Julius Zweibel in 1981 (label states), for nearly $600. That was a lot of money at the time, for a Tsumeb rarity - and that shows you how they all thought it was important EVEN IN THE TIME that Tsumeb was active! Today, it should be valued far more highly, perhaps $2000-plus. It is a startlingly good miniature of a rare lead mineral , in any case.
