The classic, beautiful and sought after Anglesite crystals from Touissit are arguably the most impressive examples of the species extant. The impressive size, supreme color and wonderful gem clarity of these crystals makes them some of the most recognizable minerals from any world locality. This thumbnail sized specimen is a very sharp, highly lustrous, gemmy, attractive yellow colored, "sword"-shaped orthorhombic crystal of Anglesite free of matrix. There is only a bit of roughness that I can see, but overall the piece is in great shape. This is old classic material from the 1970s-1980s era, when some of the best pieces were coming out of Touissit. Certainly, not recent. You don't see these on the market anymore, and they have become highly desirable classics in the years since they were found. Valued at $2,000 in our inventory. Ex Dr. Stephen Smale Collection.
