Anglesite (classic material)

Anglesite is a fairly abundant secondary lead species, but superb crystallized specimens are really only found in handful of world localities. The classic crystals from Touissit, Morocco are arguably the most impressive examples of the species extant. The impressive size, superb crystal form and sometimes excellent gemminess of these Anglesites makes them some of the most recognizable pieces of the species from any world locality. This small cabinet sized specimen features a multiple very sharp, rather lustrous, well-formed, blocky, light golden-beige colored crystals of Anglesite measuring up to 2.7 cm, sitting on grey-black Galena matrix. No major damage, the display side of the piece is in great condition. Some of the Anglesites show a bit of internal gemminess on the edges for a nice touch. This is old classic material from the 1970s-1980s era, when some of the best pieces were coming out of Touissit. Certainly, not recent. You don't see these on the market anymore, and they have become highly desirable classics in the years since they were found.
