The iconic Anglesite crystals from Touissit, Morocco are arguably the most impressive examples of the species ever found. Their distinctive color, which combined with large gemmy crystals makes them some of the most recognizable minerals from any world locality. This small cabinet sized specimen features a good sized, highly lustrous, gemmy, attractive golden colored crystal of Anglesite, with a few secondary accessory Anglesite on the back, free of matrix. There are obvious contacts around the periphery, so it's not damage free, but there are not many places on Earth that produced 2-inch+ Anglesites, so you have to appreciate it for its size. This piece was almost certainly mined in the 1970s. Certainly, not recent. You don't see these on the market anymore, and they have become highly desirable classics in the years since they were found.
