Here is an elegant, glassy, transparent Anglesite crystal with incredible, deep, saturated yellow color on matrix. The crystal is literally a jewel! This 1.5 cm gem crystal is totally limpid with sharply developed faces and top termination. It has a wonderful internal play of light due to its high refractive index that's related to its composition and high density. In ambient light, and especially sunlight, it refracts light, giving it an internal glow and outwardly high reflectivity. It's gorgeous, gemmy and dignified. The larger crystal is accompanied by numerous, smaller glassy Anglesite crystals that cover the triangular-shaped piece of matrix so the this beautiful miniature just scintillates! It is a large thumbnail specimen and, as a thumbnail, must simply be one of the finest in existence for sheer quality. It is hard to imagine better as a competitive crystal, than this literally yellow glass on contrasting matrix (although it could use a slight, professional matrix trim to balance it better).
