Andradite var. Topazolite (New Find - rare locale)

Item Description

A striking and aesthetic small cabinet from a New Find of this rare andradite varietal from this very obscure Iran locality. The glassy, gem dodecahedrons, to 1.5 cm, have rich golden-yellow to honey-brown color and are artistically clustered atop the solid granular topazolite matrix. Exciting material. The crystals in the cluster are pristine, except for a barely noticeable cleaved corner on the right side. This is a fine and attractive peice from the small lot we purchased and displays well without aid.
