Andradite (var: "Topazolite")

In 2011 there was a discovery of some of outstanding quality Andradite Garnets in Madagascar, most of which were Demantoids, but also many good Topazolites. This specimen hosts several sharp, lustrous, excellent quality, rich golden to greenish-gold color, gemmy, dodecahedral/trapezohedral Topazolite crystals froming an attractive cluster. The largest crystal measures 1.1 cm across, and is very good quality, not just for the locality, but any world locality. Minor damage, but great quality overall. I cannot say for certain if there will be more of these pieces, but this is a great opportunity for Garnet collectors to purchase a fine quality little display specimen of this variety of Andradite.
