Item Description

Polyadelphite is the manganoan variety of andradite. Large, sharp, euhedral andradite crystals, such as this, are RARE from the famous Sterling Mine. The lustrous, mottled yellow-brown crystal does have some contacted faces, but this remains a highly desirable, rare, large example of the species and noted locale. Old-time material, as the label states that the piece was obtained in a trade from East Coast collector Leonard Morgan in 1951. Value?? A MUST for the locality or species collector.
