Item Description

An attractive and rare matrix specimen of these beautiful demantoid garnet specimens. The lustrous, well-placed dodecahedrans are translucent to gemmy with rich light green to deep green areas. The large crystal is 1.4 cm across. The intensity of the green color saturations are quite eye-catching, and are nearly unique for this locality. The large crystal cluster is pristine and the periphery wear in the upper left hand corner certainly has negligible impact to the overall specimen presentation. Very choice matrix demantoid andradite material from this obscure locale.
