Gorgeous rich grass-green, gemmy and lustrous Demantoid Andradite Garnet dodecahedrons, to 1.1 cm, are beautifully and richly clustered on the sculptural clay matrix on this outstanding miniature. World-class Demantoid (green) and Topazolite (yellow-brown) Andradite Garnets were briefly recovered in 2008-2010 from an obscure area in northern Madagascar. The deposit lies in a mangrove swamp, that is flooded every day by rising tide, making specimen recovery very difficult.
