A beautiful thumbnail example of the now famous Demantoids from the Tubussis Farm 22 locality in Namibia. I remember when these first started showing up around 20 years ago, and they still hold up as some of the finest matrix Demantoids from any world locality. The combination of the beautiful green (with a rarely seen slight blusih overtone) combined with larger sized crystals on matrix is certainly rare for this variety of Andradite. This piece features fine quality, sharp, lustrous, gemmy, well-formed dodecahedrons with trapezohedral modifications measuring up to 1.0 cm aesthetically sitting on matrix. Good quality all around, damage free on the display side, and only slightly contacted on the back where it was removed from the pocket wall. A worthwhile pickup if you collect Garnets, thumbnails or if you just missed out on getting one of these years ago when they were on the market.
