Item Description

These Andradites are some of the most easily distinguishable Garnet specimens from anywhere in the United States, but they are hard to find on the market. Their distinctive brownish-green or olive green color and semi metallic iridescence are a great sign of their origin. This specimen is a nice piece of this famous material from the San Pedro Mine. It features many sharp, lustrous dodecahedra of Andradite, the largest of which measures 8 mm. Not perfect, but still good for the locality, and if you collect Garnets, you need one of these in your collection.
