Mineral specimens of ANY species are rare from this obscure old skarn deposit in Hungary. This fine, doubly rare old-timer features sharp, lustrous, translucent, olive-green andradite garnets to 9 mm attractively clustered and isolated on the mounded matrix of sharp, lustrous, metallic-gray, magnetite crystals (magnetic, as you would expect). This is outstanding old-time and extremely rare and rich combination material from the Howard Belsky Collection. The 1.7 cm label on the back with 4 lines of superb printing is from a collection, that was auctioned in 1908! $4.00 was NOT cheap in 1908! Value??? This is possibly unique combination piece from this locale. A MUST for the species or locality collector!
