Andradite (Mn-Al rich) with Rhodonite (ex Rich Kosnar Collection)

This piece comes from the Rich Kosnar Collection, who was born and raised in New Jersey before moving to Colorado in the early 1970s. The specimen hosts small sparkling, yellow-green Andradite with beautifully contrasting pink Rhodonite on matrix. The closeup photos show that the crystals are terminated, and some of the Rhodonite crystals are gemmy and rich in color! Good Franklin minerals are hard to find on the market, and the majority of them have no color, so to see a lovely pink and green association piece like this is a nice change of pace for a Franklin specimen.
