Glassy, highly lustrous, color-zoned olive-brown andradite dodecahedrons are densely heaped together on this dramatic 360-degree mounded small cabinet specimen. The crystals, to 1.1 cm, have gemmy edge phantoms that surround the translucent interiors. This is an exceptional, rare in this style and very rich specimen from the limited 2010-12 finds in the skarns at this now famous remote mining complex in China. Pristine, except for the acceptable basal periphery wear on the sides. Outstanding and rare andradite from the Ken Roberts Collection with multiple excellent display views. Ken has brought many very fine Chinese specimens to the US and this is most excellent example.
