Item Description

A striking and very fine combination plate from this uncommon locality. Sharp, lustrous, textbook, andradite dodecahedrons to 1.8 cm are aesthetically clustered on the matrix plate covered with olive-green, gem to translucent epidote crystals. Most andradite crystal faces have very high luster, with olive-green to yellow color. Translucent areas GLOW with rich color, when brightly lit. Some of the andradite faces are preferentially frosted. One garnet has a dinged corner and another has a lightly bruised corner, which are both at the bottom of the piece and not very visible. Colorful, aesthetic and excellent combination material from this locale. Ex Bill Larson Garnet Collection. BETTER IN PERSON!!
