Item Description
Andradite garnet crystals of this imposing large size are rare from this now famous, remote Chinese mine. This very aesthetic and artistic intergrown cluster is composed of sharp, highly lustrous, mottled brown, modified dodecahedrons to 8.5 cm! The crystals have scattered areas of gorgeous cherry-red to yellow-orange gemminess. Two corners of the large crystal are contacted, one has no damage. These have minimal impact to the overall impressive size and quality of the piece. Hefty at 917 grams or 2.0 pounds mass. The piece looks great from two directions.
