Andradite Garnet with Calcite

Item Description

Sharp, gemmy and lustrous, honey-brown andradite garnet crystals richly cover the mounded matrix on this excellent combination specimen from the Bor Pit at Dal'negorsk. The andradites have textbook dodecahedral form and reach 6 mm. One side of the specimen has a thin seam of prismatic calcite crystals, making for a very fine combination specimen from this well-known locale. Ex Zukowski Collection.
