Andradite Garnet (var. Demantoid) on Quartz

Item Description

Superb miniature that contains two sharp, lustrous, leaf-green GEM crystals of Andradite variety Demantoid Garnet. The main crystals are up to 5mm and are total gems, attractively set in contrasting calc-silicate matrix. They are from recent finds at Tubussis Farm 22 near the Erongo Mountains of Namibia. To compliment the two gems, there is a a nice custer of gemmy Andradites along the top of the specimen. The largest of the single gem crystals is lustrous and pristine. Way above average for the species and locality.
