Item Description
Beautiful green demantoid andradite garnet crystals are famous from the well-known Malenco Valley and this is a showy and rich mounded thumbnail. Knobby clusters of gemmy, lustrous, sharp, luscious pistachio-green dodecahedrons to 6 mm totally cover this cutie. This classic 360-degree piece is damage-free. A fine thumb with gemmy crystals and rich color. Ex Kay Robertson Collection # 5563 and acquired in the mid to late-1960s. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record).
