Item Description

A very rare andradite garnet crystal from Hungary. This sharp, complete all-around, moderately lustrous crystal is reddish-brown and is a textbook trapezohedron with dodecahedral modifications. There are even a couple of gemmy areas! Trivial bruising and contacting and the out of sight ding at the base are noted, but are very modest detractions to this fine rarity. The excellent crystal was for many years part of the Pala Properties/Bill Larson Garnet Collection and was on display at the Fallbrook shop.
