Item Description
An impressive and rich large specimen of sharp, lustrous, mottled/banded brown andradite crystals to a large 4.0 cm on nicely contrasting feldspar and quartz matrix from a very uncommon California locality, the Lakeview Mountains in Riverside County. Some areas glow with cherry-red color under bright light. The garnets are pristine and periphery wear is certainly only a modest detraction. RARE and desirable material from Riverside County. Ex Bob Trimingham Collection and acquired in 1976. A MUST for the locality or species collector. Value?
