Sharp, lustrous, textbook andradite garnet dodecahedrons are richly and aesthetically scattered on the sculptural brecciated quartz-rich skarn matix on this showy and excellent combination from the mid-1990s finds at this well-known claim, that produced world-class epidote specimens at the same time. The garnets reach 2.3 cm. Most appear to be black in normal light, but bright light reveals areas of orange-brown translucence. Andradite specimens from here are RARE, compared to epidotes and this is a good one with multiple fine display views.. Ex Art Soregaroli Collection.
