Item Description

Mineral specimens from this obscure, extinct copper mine are seldom on the market, but this small cabinet has super andradites strikingly set along the quartz matrix. The sharp, highly lustrous, rootbeer-brown crystals have nifty lighter colored veinlets running throught them. The complex large crystal is 1.9 cm and they appear to be dodecahedrons modified by the trapezohedon. The contacting on the back of the garnets is mostly out of sight and has very minimal impact on the fine display quality of this uncommon Idaho material. Comes with an older 1950s or 60s label.
