Item Description
Classic 360-degree small cabinet combination from this noted locale. A dense nest of sharp, lustrous, partially gemmy, brownish-red andradite garnet dodecahedrons, to 1.2 cm, richly cover the crest of intergrown diverging sprays of columnar, green hedenbergite. Complete all-around, with only a few bruised/contacted andradites on the periphery. The crystals have a nice red glow, when backlit. A showy and excellent combination specimen from Serifos Island. Much of this material came out in the 1960s-early 1980s, but not since. It is a European classic.
