Item Description

A showy cluster of translucent lustrous olive green Andradite garnets curated from the Bill Larson Garnet Collection, that is from a locality famous for having this skin of iridescent color play on the surfaces. While the crystals are intergrown, the dodecahedral Andradite are sharp enough to be distinguishable with the main large crystal measuring 2.2 cm across with 1.2 cm faces. The piece is in excellent condition with only minor periphery edge wear. An attractive Stanley Butte Andradite with exceptional color. This specimen may be a miniature in size but it definitely has a much larger impact for display due to the HUGE crystals for this material and the excellent condition. Ex. Bill Larson Collection from his garnet suite, mostly assembled in the 1970s-1980s. This specimen dates from that time, as well. Valued $2000. It comes with his antique style laminate label.
