Andradite Garnet (ex Tom Campbell Collection)

Item Description

A wonderful small cabinet sized specimen featuring a pair of large, fine quality, sharp, lustrous, deep reddish-brown colored Grossular crystals measuring up to 3.7 cm across. The crystals feature a textbook dodecahedral habit. This is a very good specimen for the locality, with good form, aesthetics and crystal size. No major damage on the front / display side of the piece, but it's contacted on the back where it was removed from the pocket wall. These Andradites seemingly have dried up in recent years, and are now fairly hard to find on the market. From the worldwide collection of Tom Campbell.
