Item Description
Garnet is not a mineral (group) that most people think of when it comes to minerals of Arizona, but the Stanley Butte Area is famous for producing distinctive and beautiful green Andradites. Here we have a good representative example of these iconic Garnets. This small cabinet specimen hosts textbook, euhedral dodecahedrons measuring up to 1.1 cm across, which show the classic olive-green hue, and good reflective luster. Minor damage can be seen, so it's not completely perfect, but still a good piece for any fan of worldwide Garnets, or minerals from Arizona.
Ex Les Presmyk / De Natura specimen.
