Item Description

Lustrous, sharp, multi-hued brown andradite garnet crystals with two crystal habits cover this attractive and rich mounded specimen from Seriphos Island, Greece. The lustrous, mottled dark brown crystals on top, to 1.5 cm are trapezohedrons or dodecahedrons. The cool looking, camel-brown, dodecahedral, andradite crystals on the bottom have nifty translucent, dark brown edges and unusual recessed faces. A fine and colorful display piece, with just a bit of periphery wear. Classic material from this noted locale from the Bob Trimingham Collection.
